HISTORY

In April 2015, the coachella valley's foremost professional theatre company, coachella valley repertory theatre presented HOLD THESE TRUTHS, a solo play by jeanne sakata, starring blake kushi, and directed by cvrep artistic director, ron celona. 

"the play is based on the true story of Gordon hirabayashi, an american sociologist best known for his principled resistance to the Japanese-american internment during wwii.  In may 2012, gordon hirabayashi was posthumously awarded our nation's highest civilian honor, the presidential medal of freedom."

This brilliant production of hold these truths inspired us to produce this short film to both honor the victims of this incarceration, and to help us to never forget this episode in our nation's history.
